Tolman (Tom) Cotton
Brother-in-law of Samwise Gamgee. Tolman Cotton was born in year 2980 of the Third Age. He was the son of Farmer Tolman Cotton and his wife Lily Brown. Tom Cotton had four younger siblings: Rose (wife to Sam Gamgee), Jolly (full name Wilcome), Nick (real name Bowman), and Carl (real name Nibs) . Tom was the eldest of his siblings.
On November 3, 3019, Tom Cotton fought with his brothers in the Battle of Bywater, which resulted in a defeat for their enemies the Ruffians and freedom for the Shire.
Tom Cotton married Sam's sister Marigold Gamgee. In year 21 of the Fourth Age, Tom acted as deputy Mayor until the Mayor, Sam Gamgee, returned from Gondor. Tom's date of death is not known.
