Bowman (Nick) Cotton
Son of Farmer Tolman Cotton; brother of Rosie Cotton Gamgee; brother-in-law of Sam Gamgee. Bowman "Nick" Cotton was born in 2986 of the Third Age. He was the son of Tolman and Lily Cotton. Bowman, called Nick, had three older siblings named Tom (full named Tolman), Rosie (full name Rose), and Jolly (full name Wilcome). Nick had one younger brother named Nibs (full name Carl). Nick and his family live in Bywater.
In 3019 of the Third Age, the Shire was invaded by hostile men called Ruffians led by the traitorous wizard Saruman. On November 2, Nick and his father and brothers accompanied Sam Gamgee off of the Cotton farm to drive out a group of Ruffian men. On November 3, Nick and his father and brothers fought in the Battle of Bywater which resulted in the expulsion of the Ruffians from the Shire.
Nick Cotton's date of death is not known.
