Arahad II
Born in the year 2563 of the Third Age, Arahad II became the tenth Chieftain of the Dunedain. He was the son of Chieftain Aravorn.
Before his father's death, Arahad II lived in Rivendell with Elrond. In 2654, Arahad II became Chieftain of the Dunedain after his father's death. Arahad II ruled until his own death in year 2719 and he was succeeded by his son Arassuil as Chieftain.

Names & Meanings
The meaning of the name Arahad is unknown. The element ara means "royal" in Sindarin, and had may mean "hurl." Arahad I was the second Chieftain by that name; there was an earlier Chieftain named Arahad I.
