Arassuil
Born in 2628 of the Third Age, Arassuil became the eleventh Chieftain of the Dunedain. Arassuil was the son of Chieftain Arahad II. As a young person, Arassuil lived with Elrond in Rivendell.
In 2719, Arahad II died and Arassuil became Chieftain of the Dunedain. Arassuil's realm began to be invaded by the growing power of the Mountain Orcs, who had defeated several kingdoms of the Dwarves. An Orc-leader named Golfimbul led a company of Orcs to invade the Shire, but he was defeated by Bandobras Took.
Further devastation reached Eriador in 2758, when the Long Winter hit and caused many deaths throughout the Shire and Arnor. The next year, a famine devastated Eriador.
Arassuil ruled until his death in year 2784. He was succeeded by his son Arathorn I.
