Balbo Baggins
Earliest known Baggins; great-grandfather of Bilbo Baggins. Balbo Baggins was born in year 2767 of the Third Age. He married Berylla Boffin. Balbo and Berylla had five children: Mungo, Pansy, Ponto, Largo, and Lily. From these children came numerous descendants.
Balbo's son Mungo was the grandfather of Bilbo Baggins, making Balbo Bilbo's great-grandfather and Frodo's great-great- grandfather. Balbo's son Ponto was the great-great-grandfather of Merry Brandybuck and Pippin Took, making Balbo their great-great-great-grandfather.
