Mrs. Maggot
Mrs Maggot with her husband by the Brothers Hildebrandt
Mrs. Maggot was the wife of Farmer Maggot. Her full name is not known. She and her husband lived on a farm in Bamfurlong in the Marish. They had various children, including three daughters and at least two sons. Farmer Maggot grew many vegetables on his farm, but his specialty was his magnificent mushrooms.
Mrs. Maggot served Frodo Baggins and his companions Sam and Pippin a meal of mushrooms and bacon on the night of September 25, 3018 of the Third Age. She also prepared a basket of mushrooms for Frodo and his companions to take on the road. When her husband agreed to take Frodo and his companions to Bucklebury Ferry, she was concerned for her husband's safety. He hurried home to her after Frodo was reunited with Merry.
