Eglantine Took
Mother of Pippin Took; wife to Paladin Took, Thain of the Shire. Eglantine Banks married Paladin Took and they had four children: Pearl born in 2975 of the Third Age, Pimpernel born in 2979, Pervinca born in 2985, and Pippin born in 2990. Eglantine Banks Took attended Bilbo's Farewell Party in 3001 with her family. Eglantine's fate is not known.
Names & Meanings
Eglantine is the name of a wild rose. Thus, like many female Hobbits, Eglantine was named after a plant.
