Telemnar
Telemnar was the twenty-sixth King of Gondor. He was born in year 1516 of the Third Age. He was the son of King Minardil and the grandson of King Hyarmendcail II. Telemnar had a brother named Minastan.
Telemnar was crowned King of Gondor in year 1634 after his father was killed by a Corsair force. The Corsairs were led by Angamaite and Sangahyando, who were the great-grandchildren of King Castamir.
Telemnar used Hurin of Emyn Arnen as his Steward, just like his father. Hurin was a great help in the dangerous years that were to come.
Telemnar made plans to attack the Corsair's homeland of Umbar to avenge his father's death. However, he abandoned these plans when a Great Plague was sent to Gondor from somewhere in the east. It is likely that this plague was the creation of Sauron for the purpose of weakening Gondor and other western realms.
Telemnar and his entire family died in 1636 while the plague was at its maximum strength. Telemnar was succeeded as king by his nephew Tarondor, son of Minastan.
